Incentive

PTCL Management has approved a number of incentives for customers who want to come back to PTCL and get their services restored. They are:

  • Rs. 500/- Restoration Charges have been waived off for all customers who want their services restored
  • Waiver of all fixed charges for the months in which the customer has no variable charges (usage) from the total outstanding amount.
  • Payment of outstanding amount in a number of installments and restoration of services on payment of 1st installment
  • Convenient re-activation process

Re-Connection Procedure

  • Customers who wish to reconnect their PTCL landline, can now simply call 1236, select option 7 and talk to a CSR for restoration of services.
  • The customers’ request will be forwarded to the concerned region and the operations team will visit the customer premises, for initiating the restoration process.

Basic Plus is designed to meet the needs of the low usage segment and includes basic services along with voicemail and call waiting. All customers who were not on Pakistan Package as of 31st March 2008 have been shifted to Basic Plus with effect from 1st April 2008

Pakistan Plus

Pakistan Plus offers 1000 minutes of nationwide calls for a fixed package charge of Rs. 199. The package also includes free voicemail and call waiting. Moreover, for convenience to customers, modified package will be effective from 1st August 2009.

International Plus

Due to an ever increasing number of Pakistanis migrating overseas each year, the amount of international calls being made has amplified remarkably. Also, a number of LDI operators in the industry have caused this business to become very volatile and competitive. In order to maintain its position and enhance revenues, PTCL has introduced “International Plus” that will provide PTCL subscribers with lowest international call rates and more talk time. Subscribers need not unsubscribe from their existing package to be able to benefit from International Plus. In fact subscription to International Plus will enable them to talk with their near and dear ones in UK, US, Canada, Australia and China for a fixed monthly charge.

Q. What is International Plus?
A. “International Plus” will provide PTCL subscribers with lowest international call rates and more talk time. With this package customers will be able to talk freely with their near and dear ones in UK, US, Canada, Australia and China for a fixed monthly charge.

Q. What is the tariff for International Plus?
A. All international plus subscribers will get 1200 international minutes each month and will be charged Rs. 999 monthly for calling on landline & mobile both in USA, Canada & China and on landline only in UK & Australia.

Q. Do I need to unsubscribe from my current PSTN package if I want International Plus?
 A. No, this will be an Opt In Package and customers who already are on Pakistan Plus or Basic Plus will have the option of subscribing to International Plus in addition to their existing Price Plan.

Q. Will I be able to see International Plus subscription fee on the bill?
A. Yes.

Q. How will I be charged, if I subscribe to International Plus as well?
A.
a) Customers on Basic Plus will be billed only Rs. 999 as fixed monthly charge, if they have subscribed to International Plus.
b) Customers on Pakistan Plus will be billed Rs. 199 + Rs. 999 as fixed monthly charge, if they have subscribed to International Plus.
c) All International calls except for the free calls will be printed on the Bill along with their charges.
d) If the customer exhausts his limit of 1200 free minutes for US, UK, Canada, China and Australia, his additional calls to these countries will be charged at normal rates and printed on the Bill.

Q. Which countries can we call by using International Plus?
A. Landline & mobile in China, USA, Canada and landline only in UK & Australia.

Q. How can I activate International Plus?
A.     

  • Via IVR by calling ‘1240 1241’.
  • Via CSR by calling ‘1236’ and selecting option ‘3’. 

Q. How can I de-activate International Plus?
A. Via CSR by calling ‘1236’ and selecting option ‘3’

Q. What is the policy for activation / de-activation of International Plus?
A. Customers can activate or deactivate international plus as many times as they want in a month but the last option selected in a month will be functional from the 1st of next month.

Q. What if I make calls to countries that are not mentioned in International Plus?
A. All calls that will be made by the subscribers to the countries not mentioned above will be charged at normal international call rates and will be reflected in the bill.

Q6: I subscribed to Pakistan Plus Package in the middle of the month how will I be billed?
A: Your subscription will be applicable from the 1st of next month. You can make multiple requests for activating or deactivating the package during the month however, your last request made will be effective from the 1st of next month. For e.g. a customer calls in on the 14th of the month to activate Pakistan Plus Package his package will be activated from the 1st of next month.

 

Q7: I am currently not subscribed to Pakistan Package; can I subscribe to the Pakistan Plus plan?
A: Yes, you can subscribe to the Pakistan Plus plan by calling 1236.

Q8: Can I subscribe to more than one plan at one time?
A: No, you can’t have Pakistan plus & basic plus at the same time.

Q9: What is the difference between the Pakistan Package and Pakistan Plus plan?
A: Local Call rates for Pakistan Package were

                Local Call – Peak Rs 2.00 / 5 Mins
                Local Call – Off Peak           Rs 3.99 / hr
Whereas in Pakistan Plus plan the Local call rates are as follows
                Local Call – Peak                  Rs 2.00 / 3 Mins

Also in Pakistan Plus plan Free Call waiting is being offered to our customers which was not present in Pakistan Package.

Q10: Is there any difference in the Local call rates and Mobile call rates in the Basic Plus and Pakistan Plus?
A: No, there is no difference. The Local call rates and mobile call rates are the same in all the two plans.

Q11: Is there any difference in the NWD call rates in the Basic Plus and Pakistan Plus?
A: No, there is no difference. The Local call rates and mobile call rates are the same in all the two plans.

Q12: If I do not use all 1000 minutes in Pakistan Plan in a given month, will my remaining balance of minutes be carried forward to the next month?
A: No. You will have to use all your monthly minutes in one month. For the next month you will again get 1000 minutes for the fixed fee of Rs. 199.  

Q13. Is there any allocated time of the day when I can use the 1000 minutes that I get in Pakistan Plus plan?
A. No. You can use these minutes 24/7 (throughout the day and any time of the week).

Q14 Is there a limit on the duration of a single call?
A. No, there is no limit on the duration of a single call. You can talk for as long or as less as you want and your total balance of 1000 monthly minutes in case of Pakistan Plus.

Q15. Can I call mobiles in other cities under the Pakistan Plus plan?
A. No. This package is only for PTCL to PTCL & PTCL to Vfone NWD calls. All mobile calls will be charged at the normal rate of Rs. 2.5/min.   

Q16. Can I call PTCL wireless in other cities under Pakistan Plus plan?
A. Yes, you can call PTCL wireless under this package. However, this package is not for PTCL wireless subscribers and they can not make unlimited NWD calls.          

Q17: How do I subscribe to Pakistan Plus plan?
A: PTCL has activated this plan for all subscribers that were on Pakistan Package and hence you have been automatically subscribed to it. If in case you were not subscribed to Pakistan Package then you may call 1236 and get subscribed to Pakistan Plus plan

Q18: How do I un-subscribe from Pakistan Plus plan?
A: You can call PTCL’s helpline by dialling 1236 from any landline and opt out by talking to our customer service representative.

Q19. Can I subscribe to the Pakistan Plus plan after de-activating it?
A. Yes, you can call 1236 to subscribe to the package once you have de-activated it. However, the NWD calls before subscription will be billed at the rate of Rs. 2/3mins.

a. Through IVR
Customers can call 12401240 for Basic plus & Pakistan plus or 12401241 for International plus to switch their plan.
b. Call Center
Customers can call 1236 and speak to a customer service representative to switch the plan. Plan switching can only be done for number calling verified through CLI.
c. Customer Care Center/OSS
Customers can visit Customer Care Centers/OSS to switch their plan. 
d. Revenue Office
Customers may visit Revenue Offices to change their plan.

Note: Customer’s last bill paid copy will be required for verification
